At 6:28 PM on April 21, 2017, Bobby Hamilton spotted this 24 foot gator while fishing near the Fort Worth Boat Club. Bobby stated that “he had just reeled in a 4 pound bass when I saw a huge splash – then my boat was bumped violently”. Although shaken, he was able to retrieve the 22 handgun that he keeps on hit boat and was able to shoot and kill the gator.
