Burnet Angler Breaks Texas State Record Bass

A Burnet Angler knows all to well what was at stake when he hooked a large bass last night at Inks Lake, a small lake in central Texas. The bass weighing in at 20 lbs 4 oz. shatters the old state record of 18.18 set by Barry St Clair in 1992 on Lake Fork TX. Stacy Webb has been bass fishing for over 40 years and says he never thought there would be a bass that size in small lake. The fish is the 6th fish turned into the Share-A-Lunker program this year. The angler will have a replica made by TPWD and the fish will released after the genetics and eggs will be gathered at the fishery in Athens, TX.
