California Fishing Banned Until Further Notice

California- The California Department of Natural Resources (DNR), has announced, Monday that there will be a complete ban on all sport fishing in all waters, in the following counties, starting August 1, 2017. Orange, San Bernadino, Ventura, San Diego, Riverside, and Los Angeles. The ban comes from recent tests, concluding that the waters are far too polluted to allow further fishing of the waters. A DNR spokesperson said, “the amount of pollution in our lakes and streams is catastrophic.” He also went on to say that the DNR recommends that everyone stops swimming in the waters as well. With so many people relying on fishing as a main hobby in California, this could be a serious problem.
