Tom Wolf & Game Commission Issue New Orange Mask Requirements for PA Hunters

In an announcement late Wednesday afternoon, Governor Tom Wolf and the Pennsylvania Game Commission have released new requirements for hunters taking to the woods in Pennsylvanias general seasons.

In all seasons that require fluorescent orange to be worn, PA hunters must additionally wear an orange face mask for visual safety and to reduce the spread of Covid-19. “This measure will ensure that those afield in Pennsylvania will do so with the utmost of safety.”

This measure will apply to small game hunters immediately as well as impact hunters pursuing early muzzleloader deer and bear as early as this Saturday. For hunters unable to find masks in hunter orange, masks can be purchased from any Game Commission regional headquarters for $29.99

Failure to wear a orange specific mask can result in fines exceeding $500. Those who wear no mask at all may forfeit their hunting privileges for up to 2 years.

“We are willing to enforce this law to the fullest extent to ensure hunter safety.”

Officials are urging those gullible enough to believe in coyote stocking programs, PA mountain lions and other nonsense to not fall for things they read on the internet.
